AMI has released the conference programme for its Compounding & Recycling Expo, taking place on 23–24 September 2026 at Messe Frankfurt, Germany. The comprehensive two-day agenda features expert presentations across two free-to-attend conference theatres, one focused on recycling, the other on compounding. The sessions include a dynamic mix of keynote presentations, technical talks, case studies, and panel discussions, designed to provide a valuable educational resource alongside the technologies showcased on the exhibition floor.

“Our goal is to deliver a highly focused and practical conference programme that reflects the real challenges facing the industry,” said Peter Hannan-Young, Expo Content Manager at AMI. “By bringing together experts from across the recycling and compounding sectors, we are creating a platform for knowledge sharing that supports innovation, advances material performance, and accelerates progress towards a circular plastics economy.”
The speaker lineup features speakers from across the industry, including senior representatives from companies such as Constantia, Coveris, Delta Kunststoffe, Holland Colours, INEOS, Lifocolor Farben, Maag, Netzsch, and many others.
Featured presentations from industry leaders include: EU recycled plastic content targets: advancing a coherent framework in a global context – Maria Vera Duran, Policy Director, Recycling Europe. Innovative strategies for ensuring safety and sustainability in food contact packaging – Marinella Vitulli, CEO, Food Contact Centre. Improving polymer processing with new additive technologies – Kim Van de Velde, Application Engineer, 3M. Advancing post-consumer recycling of nylon 6,6 – Michael Heeran, European Technical Marketing Manager for Nylon Polymer, Invista. Formulating or processing? Identifying the real limiting factor in compounding performance – Luis Roca Blay, Leader in Compounding, AIMPLAS.
The programme also features a strong focus on key themes shaping the plastics industry, including regulatory developments such as PPWR, advances in mechanical and chemical recycling, material innovation, and the integration of recycled content into high-performance applications.
Panel discussions will address some of the most pressing industry challenges, including the future of rPET, the economics of recycling, the role of regulation in driving change, and evolving market demands for masterbatch, PVC compounds, and bioplastics. The programme, including session details and speaker information, is now available here. Registration for the event, which includes free access to all conference sessions, can be completed here.
